Special Needs Partridge Family {with Ryan Gosling}

Special Needs Ryan Gosling {A Very Odd Dude}

     Once again it's Friday & time for Sunday Stilwell's Special Needs Ryan Gosling over at Adventures In Extreme Parenthood! If you have no clue what I'm talking about click over to her site to see what it's all about as well as check out all the other special needs blogger who link up with their own funny memes every week.
Special Needs Ryan Gosling     If you are a follower here at my blog (if not, why not!?! click over at the sidebar to Follow) or on my facebook & twitter you know I turned...gulp...30 on Monday the 16th! This week has been pretty rough since then. Not really rough because of any one thing, I think we are in a funk as a family! I know we can't be the only ones that happens to. SO, in order to not only pull myself out of said fUnK I am making some changes; trying to do the things I say I'm going to do, stop putting things off, work harder at our business, & of course blog more!! I think, though its taken me 30 years to make this realization, I have a "Someday" mentality. "I'm going to do that someday." "We are going to do that with the boys someday" I'm freakin' 30 years old, someday is very close to being yesterday if you don't get up off your butt & start doing instead of talking!! So that's what I'm going to try to do. No promises, especially if my wife is reading this post, but I am going to try!

My Son Is Weird? {Oh, I'll Show You Weird!}

Cookin' Mom Dinner

     As many of you know & have probably been through the dentist is hard for all kids but more so for special needs kids. Jayden, my aspie, did so well with his last dentist visit even letting them pull a tooth with out sedating him this time! Our previous trip included a sedation so the work could be done. After this last visit went so well he came back & told our 6 year old Zion, who has General Anxiety Disorder, all about the awesome experience so Zion wanted to go! That was a big deal because he is so fickle & nervous all the time so we jumped at the chance. All the steroids & other medications over the years due to his sever lung problems have left his teeth in desperate need of help, while they don't hurt him we still wanted to get them taken care of while he was on board!
     Tomorrow is the big day, we got the OK from his Dr. at the physical today for everything to happen. He is super cool about it so far & my wife & I are the nervous ones! Its so scary anytime you put a kid under, even for me & I'm a medic working in an emergency room! Everything will be just fine but I thought since I was thinking about him tonight while I finish this long 12 hours in the ER I would post a few pics & ask for some crossed fingers!
     The other thing is that tomorrow is, oh course, Special Needs Ryan Gosling Day! If you don't know what that is head over to Sunday Stilwell's blog Adventures In Extreme Parenthood to check out all her great Special Needs Ryan Gosling Memes as well as see all the other special needs bloggers that link up doing their own memes. Seeing as I will probably be busy tending to a very grumpy post surgery 6 year old I wanted to go ahead & post mine but since I'm not doing it on the same day as everyone I figured I would do a different picture as well. I hope you like!

Ryan Gosling Goes Special Needs Camping!

     While I am a day late here is my 2 cents that I'm throwing in for this weeks Ryan Gosling Special Needs meme. If you havn't seen this before or even if you have you should head over to Sunday Stilwells blog, Adventures In Extreme Parenthood. It's only one of the best blogs out there!

     I have to work tomorrow & spring break is headed to an end so we are using today as our lazy sunday. We headed out to our local lake to play on the beach & look for some shells. To be honest we did the same thing yesterday as well just at a different lake. Its just been to nice & if you want these kids to get outside you really have to either force them or find them something really spectacular to do. For us exploring is just right! Even Jayden likes to get out & see the shells, today he found what was left of a dead turtle that he really got to take a good look at. He inspects the peices of shell, the bones, & after brushing the sand away went all indiana jones on me "This belongs in a museum!" A pretty great day.
