Minecraft! I'm not sure what to make of it. For the longest time everything was super realistic & the graphics blew my old video games out of the water but even my original Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo had better graphics than this. They love it though! Not only does Jayden love to play it but he also wants to watch it on YouTube. Just random other kids taking a videos of themselves playing minecraft is apparently almost as enjoyable as playing it.....what does that say about the game....
It's pretty well known, I spoil my kids pretty bad. If they are into something I usually find a way to be into it too. Minecraft is a bit tricky for me because its just not my thing but when they showed me a video from youtube some little genius put together that is him playing minecraft while another sings new words to I'm Glad You Came by The Wanted. Now, just to clarify I have know idea what I'm Glad You Came by The Wanted is but I think I've listened to it on a radio somewhere because it seemed very familiar. I'm a big fan of changing the words & making funny songs so this thing really got me! It's hilarious! You need to watch this video....your kids have probably already seen it but show them to, if they are into Minecraft! You will be a cool parent for about 3:18.
The boys asked to download an app on the iPod Touch so they could 'Mincraft' pictures that they take. Below are some of their proudest moments.

My daughter loves Minecraft as well. It's amazing her ability to build and create whole towns, Mario figures, etc. Just adds to the creative mind. I am happy she plays it.
ReplyDeleteI know, its crazy how detailed they can be! My son builds hidden houses behind waterfalls but then sometimes gets upset because he forgot where he put the hidden door :)

ReplyDeleteI don't know how many times I've come in and I can hear giggling from under the covers at 3 in the afternoon. He is in bed, covered up, playing minecraft on the ipad!

DeleteTwo of my step sons love this game but as I recall they were talking about Zombies? They plat together. One on one phone and the other on another
ReplyDeleteYeah, Jayden says there are 'Creepers' I think its like a zombie that can come and get you. He is always making traps for them or talking about, "I'm ready for the creepers if they come around"
DeleteToday I painstakingly watched youtube videos on "How to Find Diamonds in Minecraft" because my 7yo was literally going to explode if he went one more session without grabbing some diamonds. I was officially the coolest mom on the planet when I helped him find 5 of them---at least for about 3:18...
ReplyDeleteMy son heard this video playing and said, "Mom, what are you watching??" He is obsessed with Minecraft and is also addicted to watching and posting Minecraft videos :-) So your son will have a new follower for sure on YouTube :-)
ReplyDeleteNot diagnosed yet, we're fighting for it! Referred to specialist and 9 month waiting list... I've been reading your blog ALL day and have laughed at a lot of the post, and cried my eyes out at the similarities our kiddos have. I'm not crazy! There is something different about him, and he's not the only one!!
